Social media revolutionized drastically. We are now living in a world filled with connectivity .I cannot imagine a world without these mediums. Looking back, you can literally see the changes that took place and how society adapted enormously to the social world. Here are five ways these social applications changed and dominate your life. 1. Unlimited connection to the Global online Network. You bumped into an old high school friend, you were so shocked to see them, and you forgot to take down their details when they left. What do you do? Simply type in the name and surname and start searching. Easy ways to get connected to old buddies’ .Try Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace. 2. How news reaches us. We no longer have to wait for 6 or 7 o clock to watch the news or get up to go buy a newspaper to see what has happened in the world. Twitter supplies us with breaking news everyday. It reaches a global audience in minutes of the event happening. 3. No more expensive, unreliable marketing for companies. Using social media .Companies can now create and do business online. No more handing out pamphlets, creating posters. Simply post the event, companies details or whatever you decide to market and see a huge increase in circulations, figures etc. 4. Traditional learning vs. E-learning Social media took over the classroom, figures show that through technology and social media there has been an increase in pass rates. Many learners find it easier to work and study through applications that doesn't bore them. 5. Job search / employment seekers or recruiters Thanks to the power of social media sites, finding a job or letting recruiters find you. It isn’t that hard anymore, simply signup on a site like LinkedIn, upload your resume and you are half way on your way to employment. Every aspect of our daily lives is connected to a global online platform and we simply can't live without it.
